Wedding Venue Design Ideas

You probably have a pretty vivid idea of the theme that you are going for for your big day. The hard part is that it is hard to narrow down this 'vision' due to the immense amount of choices you have now. There are numerous Asian wedding design companies that will provide you with endless good choices and pinpointing one perfect look is hard. There research like you have never researched in your life! Pick a theme and compare all the pictures (of their stages/marques) they have in this theme within the same company and others. Most importantly pick something that compliments your look, and the look of your husband and the family dress theme!

If you are looking for classical wedding stages, these designs scream understated elegance. I find that the advantage of these settings are that the simple yet stylish background does not compete with the  extravagance of your outfit and whole look of the day (or night)! We all know that the bridal gown is the focal point, and lets face it, Asian bridal gowns bring a lot of glamour and dazzle to the table!

Asian Bridal Make-up Ideas

Asian weddings are full of vibrant colours, from the decor of the venue to the make-up the bride wears on the day. There is a lot of emphasis on the eyes. Especially as the shy bride looks down with modesty her guests are able to see the amazing work of the make-up artist. Her eye make-up reflects the dynamics of the culture and her surroundings.

Ring Styles to Suit Her

I hope my last post has educated you on what to look for when it comes to the quality of a diamond ring. Picking the style of a ring to suit her is a little easier. The shape of the diamond is the first thing to consider when picking out a ring for your other half. There are various shapes that you can choose from, and this depends on the type of ring you think she would love.
The most popular shape is the classic round brilliant cut. However, you may not want to pick something unique and different if your her style is not traditional of conventional.

1. Classic   2. Vintage   3. Sidestone   4. Three Stones   5.Gemstone   6. Halo   7. Monique Lhuillier
The setting of the engagement ring is important and ythis should reflect her style and taste. The 'classic' setting is the most popular when it comes to purchasing an engagement ring. For a traditional understated elegance the 'classic' and  'vintage' settings are more appropriate and this can be extended to the 'sidestone' and 'three stone' settings for a little more character. However if she prefers something that is unique and stands out than the 'gemstone', 'halo' and 'minique lhuillier' settings will do the trick!

There are usually two types of 'claw' settings: 4-claw setting and 6-claw setting. These 'claws' hold your diamond in place.

Personally, I prefer the 4-claw setting as it is a lot more open and allows for the diamond to sparkle and it looks bigger. I feel that the 6-claw engulfs the diamond in turn making it appear a lot smaller and closed in than it actually is. But I guess that's personal preference!

Finally, the wedding band! There is not as many variations of this as there is engagement rings. Just make sure to pick a band that compliments and goes well with her engagement ring. The most popular wedding band is either a plain band or a band with a row of diamonds (platinum, white gold or yellow gold your choice!). I am sure a friend or a family member can help you, or even your other half if you are both picking out the rings together!

Men, Lets Talk Rings.

I'm sure you are familiar with the term: 'A diamond is for life' or more famously 'Diamonds are forever'.

Both statements are correct. Your future wife will love and cherish the rings you pick out for her for the rest of her life. These are the rings she will wear every single day for as long as she shall live. Look upon your diamond ring as an investment.

I was recently out with a family member who was looking for a diamond ring for his wife-to-be. As soon as we hit the first shop he looked completely perplexed and overwhelmed by all the information being thrown at him. As I have been out diamond ring shopping with various friends and family members over the years I learnt first hand that finding the perfect ring is not as simple as it looks. So this is what I have learnt when it comes to diamond ring.

I think by now, if you are looking for the perfect ring for your wife-to-be, you have figured out that diamond engagement ring shopping is not as easy as you first envisaged! Before you rush off to purchase a diamond engagement ring/wedding band you will probably want to do some research on the 4C's: Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat. And of course the shape of the diamond you pick. There are many websites that can give you clear information on the technicalities of diamond ring shopping. These 4C's are most important when you are picking out your engagement ring. The better the quality of the diamond you pick the higher the price.

So now lets talk budget! It is best to set out a budget for both the engagement ring and the wedding band. If you have a big budget then you can pick a ring that is bigger but does not compromise on the quality. However, if you are working within a budget then it may be worth looking into a diamond size which is slightly smaller in carat but has a high quality Cut, Colour and Clarity as these are the 3C's that give the diamond its true quality. Especially when it comes to limited budget you may find that you are able to purchase a bigger carat diamond ring within that budget, but do not be fooled by the size. These diamonds will nearly always be on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of quality. The Cut, Colour, Clarity will most certainly be lacking. It will not shine, there will be visible inclusions (flaws), overall it will look dull and lifeless. A diamond that is 1/3 or 1/2 carat in size but of a high quality is better than a diamond that is 1 carat or over but is lacking in Cut, Colour and Clarity.

Remember size isn't everything, it is the quality of the ring she will be looking at!

The Date

It's best to know roughly when you are going to have this wedding from the time you announce it to your family and friends! This gives you and your family time to prepare for the big day and leave plenty of room for changes and alterations to your ideas. Pull out your and your other half's work Calender and set a date that works for the both of you, once you have figures that out it is best to start looking for the venue of your wedding. The wedding industry is always busy and venues will be booked weeks, months or even years in advance. It is important that you give yourself enough time to find the perfect venue and book it.

You need to leave yourself enough time to book all the unnecessary components to your wedding, from catering and booking the hall to having your bridal gown made. Knowing what season you may have your wedding can help you figure out what provisions you may need to take to ensure you make the most of the weather, this ranges from what type of make-up you will wear to the way you will travel to your destination. The worst thing that can happen is getting rained on in Autumn on route to your wedding in a horse and carriage! Working within a time-frame is difficult, however as long as you have your to-do-lists you can steadily work your way through this and make sure everything is booked and ready well ahead of time. Enjoy!

The Budget

Budget!! The dreaded word!! But absolutely necessary unless you have copious amount of cash at your disposal. Unfortunately for the majority of us it is not possible to spend an unmentionable amount on our big day. Therefore sit down with your other half and discuss the tedious matter of money and how you can effectively use the amount you have set aside to create your dream wedding. Having an unlimited source of money does mean that you do not have to worry about the costs of your vision. However, this does not mean that a limited budget should not be able to provide you with the idea you have in mind. Elegance and beauty can also be produced on a more modest scale, but a big wedding can also be funded on a small budget!

As is the norm after you have decided on your wedding budget, bring in the family (his and hers) and discuss how much the brides family are paying and how much the grooms are paying. Usually both parties decide to split the cost of the wedding down the middle. Ultimately it is down to both the families and how they figure out this cost and what they are comfortable with in their situation. The issue of finance will crop up time and time again throughout the planning of your wedding, but as long as you have some ground rules in order and both parties are constantly up-to-date and informed of the issues, changes, overall progress of the matter everything should run in accordance to your plans. Maintain a constant open line of communication! Rest assured that once this stage has been dealt with you can start the fun part of your wedding preparations!
